Tasks at STR

Practical phases: Understanding technology, managing buildings

During the practical phases, students are assigned to Facility Management - specifically to the Property Management working group.

The focus is on practical tasks from the following subject areas:

  • Building technology
  • Machine, conveyor, MSR and building control technology
  • electrical engineering
  • Infrastructural management
  • property management

The practical work is supplemented by activities such as

  • Commercial processing of orders and invoices
  • Creation of presentations and evaluations - including in Excel and SAP
  • Active participation in day-to-day business

In the final semester, a practice-oriented Bachelor's thesis is written - with direct reference to a topic from the company context.

Our students work in the respective department, take on responsibility and actively contribute to the day-to-day work with their own projects.

Prerequisites for the start

  • (Technical) university entrance qualification with at least a good degree or professional qualification as a master craftsman/technician with proof of a counseling interview
  • Understanding of technical interrelationships and a keen interest in process relationships, interfaces and/or interactions
  • Ideally initial experience in project management
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on responsibility
  • Holistic thinking and organizational talent
  • Confident appearance and good communication skills
  • High degree of initiative and ability to work in a team
  • Fascination for the airport world
