Compliance Management System at STR
Air transport can only function with clear rules and staff who conscientiously ensure safety. To ensure that all regulations, legal requirements and our own policies, values and standards – such as the fairport Code – are adhered to, Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH has established its own Compliance Management System (CMS).
This includes, amongst other things, supervisory bodies such as the Supervisory Board and the Compliance Board, centralised policy management, clearly defined sets of rules and compliance processes, as well as structured risk management.
A key component of the compliance management system is Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH’s electronic whistleblowing system (BKMS® Incident Reporting).
Whistleblowers can submit reports here either anonymously or by providing their name – whichever they prefer. The system is open not only to all employees but also to external stakeholders.
Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH has identified key focus areas on which reports can be submitted. All reports are reviewed exclusively by authorised report handlers and treated in confidence:
Corruption, bribery
Unfair competition and breaches of competition law
Data protection and the protection of personal data
Information security
Human rights and environmental standards
Aviation security
Airport operational safety
Other offences – such as fraud, breach of trust, theft, embezzlement or money laundering
Anonymity remains protected
For Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH, protecting the identity of whistleblowers is a top priority. Provided that no personal details are provided which could lead to the whistleblower’s identity being revealed, the BKMS® Incident Reporting system automatically guarantees anonymity – through a certified and technically secure solution.
