To ensure that our guests get their holiday off to a good start, here are some important tips for travelling from Stuttgart Airport. As everywhere else, there are certain peak times at the STR. These are mainly in the early morning and afternoon. During these times, travellers should allow for longer waiting times at security checks and the check-in.

We therefore recommend that you always have all ID cards and required travel documents ready at the airport and observe the airline’s regulations regarding carry-on baggage.

Tip: If you like to plan ahead, you can also book a time slot for security checks – this saves waiting time.

IImportant: Passengers should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure. It is not necessary to arrive more than 3 hours in advance.

The Federal Police also recommends arriving at security checkpoints at least 90 minutes before departure. Even if the airport is less busy at other times, these travel recommendations still apply. This makes departure more relaxed.
