Well planned, on time for boarding:If you book a 15-minute time slot for security, you can go straight to the signposted Smart Lane checkpoint in Terminal 2. Please have your boarding pass ready! The time slot reservation is automatically checked.

Access and opening hours

Access to the Smart Lane is only valid for the 15 minutes booked.
Bookings for Schengen flights can be made up to 60 minutes before departure – at least 48 hours in advance.
For non-Schengen flights with passport control, you can book up to 90 minutes before departure.
The flight number, name and email address are required for booking.
Reservations can be made for up to 5 people at a time.
Bookings can only be made using the form on this page.
Changes or cancellations can be made via the link in the confirmation email.

The security checks in the other terminals can be used at any time, even if you have a booked time slot.
Important even for Smart Lane: allow sufficient time for check-in and baggage drop-off before the security check.

Frequently asked questions

Why am I not seeing a suitable time slot for my flight?

We can only offer a limited number of time slots. If no free time is displayed, it means that all slots are already taken. Then the regular security checks in terminals 1, 2, 3 or 4 are available.

What happens if I miss the time slot?

Access to the Smart Lane is only possible during the selected 15 minutes. Access cannot be guaranteed outside this time slot. If you arrive earlier or later, please use the regular check-in desks in terminals 1, 2, 3 or 4. If there is enough time before departure, you can also book a new time slot.

What is the latest time for using the Smart Lane?

The last bookable time slot is 1 hour before the scheduled departure time. Later time slots or later access to the Smart Lane are not possible.

Can I change or cancel the booked period?

Yes, the email with the booking confirmation contains a link that allows you to change or cancel the time slot.

How can I book a time slot for multiple passengers?

One person can only book a time slot for a maximum of 5 travellers. Can you get through this checkpoint with a wheelchair, walker or buggy?

The Smart Lane passages are not suitable for buggies, walkers or wheelchairs, as they do not fit through the gate. In such cases, the manual boarding pass checkpoints at the regular security checkpoints can help – these are accessible without barriers.

Can a child seat be taken along?

Yes, child seats are considered approved baggage items, provided they are permitted by the airline.

Are suitable time slots already suggested for the specific flight?

Yes, the periods shown always refer to the specified flight.
