Travelling with children

New Website
We look forward to your feedback!

Good preparation is helpful to ensure that families have a relaxed time at Stuttgart Airport. Those travelling with children benefit from short distances and family-friendly services at Stuttgart Airport.

Good to know: The following tips will help you plan your trip with children – from check-in to departure.

Prams and car seats

Prams, buggies and car seats are usually checked in as bulky baggage after check-in. Some airlines allow car seats to be used on board – please contact the airline for further information.

Good to know: The security screening devices are designed to detect items of up to 60 x 40 centimetres in size.

Buggies for hire

At the bulky baggage counter in Terminal 3 on the departure level, you can exchange your own buggy or pram for a rental buggy. This can be taken to the gate, where it will be collected by staff.

What else is important

Nutrition

Baby food: At Edeka in Terminal 3 on the arrivals level, there is a wider selection of baby food for all parents who need to stock up.

Good to know: The Federal Police provides information on the rules for carrying baby food (for children up to 24 months) and medicine in carry-on baggage.

Care

Baby changing rooms: There are almost 20 baby changing rooms in the public area and in the gate area. These are ideal for looking after your child when you are on the go. Bottle warmers are also available in some rooms.

Care products: Forgotten the baby powder or do not have enough nappies with you? The Edeka in Terminal 3 on the arrivals level offers a well-stocked selection of drugstore products for babies and children.

Health care

Pharmacy: Medicines and pharmaceutical advice are available from the Aeroatoll Pharmacy in Terminal 2 on the departures level.
