It is often quicker and involves less waiting.

Kiss & Fly

Kiss & Fly is English.

Directly translated, it means kiss and fly.

That's how you pronounce it: Kiss änd Flai.

Kiss & Fly is an area in front of the airport.

You can drop a person off there who is flying away.

Or a person can drop you off there before your journey.

You can stop there for 8 minutes free of charge.

The barrier opens automatically.

You do not need a ticket.

If you stay longer than 8 minutes, it costs money.

You pay by EC card or credit card.

You can also pay with coins and bills at the machine.

Gate

Gate is English.

It means gate.

That's how you pronounce it: Gäit.

A gate is a waiting area at the airport.

This is where you board the plane.

The gate number is on your boarding card.

Pay attention to the displays in the airport.

They will tell you which gate you should go to.

Car sharing

Car sharing is English.

It means sharing a car.

Car sharing means: you share a car with others.

You can rent the car for a short time.

Terminal

Terminal is English.

A terminal is a part of an airport building.

This is where you arrive or depart.

There are counters, controls, stores and gates in the terminal.

There are several terminals at Stuttgart Airport.

Bulky baggage

Bulky baggage is large or special baggage.

For example

  • a baby carriage
  • a bicycle
  • a surfboard
  • a golf bag
  • a pet in a transport box

Then you need more time.

At Stuttgart Airport, the counter for bulky baggage is in Terminal 3.

It is to the right of the security checkpoint.
