Tasks at STR

Aviation clerks ensure that everything runs smoothly at the airport - from organization in the terminal to commercial tasks in the background.

  • Purchasing and warehousing: procuring, storing and providing goods and services for the airport.
  • Personnel: Managing employees, supporting payroll accounting and checking requirements for various activities.
  • Terminal: Getting passengers and baggage on their way, accompanying security checks and keeping an eye on processes.
  • Check-in: Accompany check-in processes, ensure punctuality and assist with lost luggage.
  • Contracts and invoices: Working with airlines and service providers, processing contracts, checking invoices and complying with tax regulations.
  • Marketing and communication: Attracting airlines and new routes, presenting the airport and communicating with the press, passengers and customers.
  • Air freight: Handle imports and exports, organize air freight and communicate its importance to the airport.

  • Managing processes in the terminal and during handling
  • Practical experience in purchasing, sales, personnel and marketing
  • Applying security procedures
  • Understanding and helping to shape commercial processes
  • Get to know quality management and resource planning in airport management

Prerequisites

  • An intermediate school-leaving certificate or comparable qualification
  • Interest in German, mathematics, economics and social studies
  • Very good knowledge of English - other languages are an advantage
  • An open manner and enjoy working with people
  • Self-organization and an overview - even in lively situations
  • Willingness to work shifts during the apprenticeship (age of majority required)
  • Class B driving license
  • Enthusiasm for the airport world
