Practical phases in environmental and supply engineering

In the Environmental and Supply Engineering department, students deal with key topics relating to energy efficiency and technical infrastructure.

Typical tasks during the practical phases:

  • Collaboration in the day-to-day business of energy management
  • Support with energy industry issues - for example smart metering, electromobility or demand side management
  • Collaboration in project management
  • Monitoring and optimizing processes in energy and load management

In the final semester, a practice-oriented Bachelor's thesis is written - directly related to a topic from the company context.

  • Development and application of technologies for energy generation, conversion, storage and use
  • Sustainable energy system management
  • Design, use and networking of technical equipment in energy and environmental technology
  • Fundamentals of electrical engineering

Students are actively involved in the day-to-day work, support the departments and take responsibility for their own projects.

Prerequisites for the start

  • (Technical) university entrance qualification with at least a good degree or professional qualification as a master craftsman/technician with proof of a counseling interview
  • Interest in interdisciplinary issues in the fields of energy technology, regulation and business administration
  • Openness to learning new IT systems
  • Ideally initial experience in project management
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Confident appearance and good communication skills
  • Organizational talent
  • High degree of flexibility, initiative and ability to work in a team
  • Fascination for the airport world
