FAQ: Applications

1. Submit your application
Found a suitable role? Simply click on the ‘Apply now’ button – our online tool will guide you through the process in just a few minutes. Upload your CV, certificates and qualifications, and you’re done. A cover letter is optional.

2. Selection process
We review every application carefully – this may take a little time. In the meantime, it’s worth taking a look at our website or our social media channels: there you’ll find exciting insights into life at Stuttgart Airport.

3. Virtual introductory meeting
The first interview takes place online via Microsoft Teams – with both the relevant department and the recruitment team. The aim is for us to get to know each other.

4. Second interview with the recruitment team
Here we’ll discuss the general conditions: working hours, holiday entitlement and an insight into day-to-day life at STR.

5. Face-to-face interview on site
If both sides remain convinced, we’ll invite you to a face-to-face interview at the airport.

6. Feedback
You’ll receive feedback shortly after the final interview. The recruitment team is always available throughout the entire process.

As long as a vacancy is visible online, it is possible to apply for that position.

The information in the ‘Your Qualifications’ section of the job advert is crucial. The requirements listed there should match your own profile as closely as possible. If you recognise yourself in the key points, you are welcome to apply – even if you do not meet every requirement 100 per cent.

As soon as the application has been successfully submitted via the online tool, a confirmation of receipt will be sent automatically by email. Anyone who has received this can rest assured that we have received their documents.

Some selection processes take a little time – particularly when we receive a large number of applications. Anyone who has already received confirmation of receipt is still part of the application process. We will be in touch as soon as possible.

Sometimes we close the application process before a post has been filled – for example, if we have already received a sufficient number of suitable applications. In this case, the post is still under consideration. We ask for your patience – we will get back to you as soon as possible.

No problem – please get in touch with us as soon as possible so that we can find an alternative date together. Please note: as there are usually several people involved, last-minute changes are difficult to accommodate. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer appointments after 4 pm.

Yes, definitely. In order to assess at an early stage whether a collaboration is feasible, we need you to indicate your desired fee during the initial consultation.
