No. According to the Corona Ordinance of the State of Baden-Württemberg, face visors are not considered an adequate substitute for mouth-nose covers or medical masks. They can only be used as an additional measure. Therefore, medical masks are required in indoor and outdoor public areas on the premises of Stuttgart Airport. Yes, you can purchase a medical mask at one of the vending machines in Terminal 1 and 3 and in several shops (changes possible):
The following shops offer disinfectant (changes possible). In addition, you can use the contactless hand sanitizers located throughout the terminals.
Inside airport buildings, both travellers and employees must wear a medical mask. This applies especially if the minimum distance of 1.5 metres cannot be maintained continuously or if no other protective measures such as separating panels are available.
Keeping your distance to others and paying attention to signs and floor markings also applies at the security checkpoints. The contents of your pockets and smaller items, such as your mobile phone, should be stowed in your hand luggage or jacket. Only one piece of hand luggage (hand luggage + personal item, e.g. handbag, laptop case) is temporarily allowed at the security check. In addition, airlines have established their own regulations for handling carry-ons. Before travelling abroad, please check the information of your destination country regarding entry and test requirements. The regulations of the German Foreign Office apply. Since 30 March 2021, all persons travelling to Germany by air must present a negative Covid-19 test result before embarking on their journey. The test must be done abroad no more than 48 hours before entry.
When entering Germany from abroad, please also observe the entry and quarantine regulations for your destination state.
