Please note:

The Corona Test Centre is an institution of the state government of Baden-Württemberg, which is available only to those entering from risk areas. Stuttgart Airport only provides the infrastructure. The call centre at Stuttgart Airport cannot provide further information on the test procedures and individual medical queries.

Corona Test Centre of the state of Baden-Württemberg AND the KVBW

The state government and the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians of Baden-Württemberg offer free COVID-19-tests for travelers from risk areas at the test centre at the airport. Voluntary tests for a fee are not possible at the test centre at the airport. Those traveling from non-risk areas may be tested in specialized places: List of places in Baden-Württemberg (in German)


The test centre is located in Terminal 1 West and is open daily from 6 am to 11 pm. Please pay attention to the signs located throughout the terminals.


Prior registration is not necessary. The free test in the test centre at the airport is only possible until 72 hours after the arrival in Baden-Württemberg.

The following documents must be presented at the entrance of the test centre:

  • Health insurance card from the statutory health insurance company, if available. If you do not have your insurance card with you or if you are privately insured, your personal contact details will be collected on site using a registration form.
  • Proof of your stay abroad: boarding pass (in paper or on your phone) or other documents, such as train ticket, hotel bill, travel agency documents
  • Identity document

The Result

It can take up to 3 days to get the test results. The results will be sent by post and can also be received via the Corona Warning App.

Persons who have tested positive will be informed by the responsible health authority or the service provider CeGat. The public health department also gives instructions on how to proceed.
