Are you travelling to the airport by car, municipal rail (S-Bahn) or bus?
It doesn't really matter, because your journey will be a short one in every case! You can access Terminals 1 and 3 directly from the municipal railway station (S-Bahn) by taking the lifts, escalators or stairs, or check-in desks can be reached in a few minutes in Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 from bus stops and car parks. By the way, moving walkways are also provided from car parks (P0,P2,P4) right up to the terminal building. Or you can take a taxi to the airport. You can then drive right up to the Arrivals level entrance of Terminals 1 and 3, unload your baggage and, after a short stroll, you reach the check-in desks in Terminal 1, 2, 3 or 4.
Monitors to the left and right of the entrances to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 will inform you in which terminal the check-in desk for your airline is located. You can also ask at the Information desk in Terminal 1, Level 3 and Terminal 3, Level 3. Terminal departure levels are directly connected to each other.
On arrival at the check-in desk of your airline, please present your airline ticket and passport or identity card and hand in your baggage. You will then receive
- Your boarding card with your gate and seat number and
- Your airline ticket with a receipt for your checked-in baggage.
Please proceed to your gate/exit after you have checked in. The gate number is registered on your boarding card and can be read on the information screens/panels. You should go to your gate at least 30 minutes prior to boarding time. Please ensure that you have sufficient time on the way to your gate for security and passport inspections. And remember to have your passport, boarding card and airline ticket handy at all times. Please also take note of public address announcements and the display screens/panels.
